AFRIMA-AUC unveil 2015 calendar in Addis Ababa

The calendar of this year's
All Africa Music Awards [AFRIMA] has been unveiled in
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The ceremony which took place at
the African Union Commission Secretariat was in
conjunction with the African Union Commission [AUC].
The event attracted participants from all over the
continent including Dr. Mustapha Sidiki Kaloko,
Commissioner for Social Affairs; AUC, Mike Dada,
President and Executive Producer, AFRIMA; members of
the International Committees of AFRIMA; Africa Union
Commission executives, AFRIMA award winners, artistes
and media professionals.
One of the highlights of the occasion was a roundtable
session with the theme: 'Using Music, Culture and
Entertainment as Tools for a New Africa'.
Participant believe that Afrima in collaboration with the
African Union will help address issues relating to African
musicians.
Nigerian rapper, Olamide joined other African musicians
present to receive AFRIMA Best Album West Africa 2014
award for his third album, Baddes Guy Ever Liveth which
was released in October 2013.
Afrima organisers say it will continue to reward talents in
Africa as well as preserve and promote Africa's rich music
and culture to the world
